The deal with that stuff goes like this:
You will be in covered in body armor, at ALL TIMES. You may only take off your armor, canteens, m-16 rifle, AND your chemical warfare gear (MOPP GEAR)
when you sleep, and when you go to the bathroom.
The place where you use the toilet and showers are a good long walk away from your camp. Now, remember how i said in your regular dorm, you have 25 girls trying to use the 6 shower heads in under ten minutes.
At BEAST, you have two. yes TWO shower stalls to utilize in the same amount of time... they WILL NOT give you ample time to get your heavily armor coated body over to the shower areas, and undress from your chem gear, your battle armor, AND your uniform... there is just no way in hell that can be accomplished.
So. They sell baby wipes at the BX (the base exchange) which is where they make you buy supplies before you go. I suggest you buy 2 little travel packs. Instead of showering all week, you will wipe and clean all the important areas..
I know. it sounds really gross... but it wont be the biggest of your worries... actually, you probably wont even care. If you just cant deal with that.. there may be a little hope for you.. I DID see a few girls shower. I really dont know how they found the time.. but they did.
Goodnews: You will be able to change your ABU's everyday (if you want to)
Again, tip of advice. No one changes them. You always always where a tshirt and spandex and underwear underneath your ABU's... you change those things everyday.
Sleeping: You will sleep on a military style cot. I would say.. it resembles a directors canvas folding chair. It is hard, and uncomfortable, But i promise, you wont even care. You will be so so so tired, you will melt off to sleep as soon as you rest your head down. They will give you a nice and warm (i went in the winter!! Brrr) sleeping bag, which is very comfy, and a pillow. Try to keep this in mind..
They are going to attack you AT NIGHT. You will be awoken up at 1 or 2 in the morning.. it is going to be hectic.. everyone trying to get their cloths/gear on..
You should get at least 4-5 hours of sleep a night. maybe more on sunday.
You will also have to do "Entry controller" duty. The same as you would back at the dorms. (this means 2 hour shifts, at any point during the day or night) if you are lucky, very lucky, you wont have to do them at night...
